Preserved History For Timeless Elegance

Nestled in the heart of St Croix's captivating landscape, just a mile from Christiansted, our historic estate boasts former sugar plantations and an enduring architectural heritage, meticulously preserved using primary source material from the national archives of the United States and Denmark. Constructed in 1733 by Alexander Hamilton's relatives, James and Ann Lytton, the house has a storied past, having been owned by the Kings of Denmark and Count McCathy. The opulent Great Room, once an "entertainment room" hosting grand balls, adds a touch of timeless elegance. Notably, the property is also home to the historical site where Rachel Faucett Lavien, Alexander Hamilton's mother, was both married and laid to rest. Immerse yourself in the rich history and grandeur of this remarkable estate.

The Grange offers intimate indoor spaces for your event including an open main hall, sitting area, and 15-person conference room. Outside, has beautiful local gardens and landscapes perfect for a picturesque outdoor event, ceremony, or photoshoot.
